I love to incorporate holistic and person-centered healing approaches with all the individuals I work with. My goal is to create a safe and welcoming environment where you can explore all that life puts in your path. Life brings plenty of unexpected twists and turns, and our feelings can be difficult to manage. I strive to create authentic and impactful interventions to get you to where you want to be. You are the expert of your own life and i'm a tool to help support you in reaching your full potential with the values you hold deep within yourself. Whether I am working with a child, teen, or adult, It is an absolute privilege to be a part of your healing journey.

My favorite part of my career is working with an array of individuals. I believe therapy is “ever learning.” Just as you learn some tricks and techniques during therapy, I learn from all the individuals I interact with. I value utilizing person-centered therapies, while utilizing nontraditional forms of interventions. I value and honor your own unique culture and do my best to incorporate those essential parts of your life, in therapy. In my work with children, adolescents, and adults, I do my best to assure that this healing journey comes with much respect, and some glimmers of laughter.

My work with children, adolescents, and adults is focused on supporting the challenges that come with different phases in life. I offer support in areas such as PTSD, trauma, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, substance misuse, adjustment, low-self-esteem, acculturation, life transitions and various other areas. I am Latinx bilingual and bicultural therapist who offers therapy in both English and Spanish. I take a special interest in contributing to the healing process of the BIPOC community. I hope to cultivate a therapeutic space that can encourage self-empowerment and growth.

My background in the mental health field started in 2017.  I have over 7 years of experience in the mental health field. I graduated from my Masters in Social Work from George Mason University. My post graduate experience includes working as a family therapist who did in home therapy with youth who were on probation and parole. Soon after, I continued my career at Inova Fairfax Hospital as a behavioral health inpatient therapist. I provided daily mental health and substance misuse groups and individual therapy for individuals on the Acute, Mood, Adolescent, and Comprehensive Addiction Treatment Services (CATS) floors. Finally, I have experience working in community mental health in outpatient therapy. I have experience in working with an array of individuals who come from all walks of life. In tandem with my outpatient work, I provided therapy and support for a juvenile detention center. My background has taught me to be a flexible therapist and always to offer an active listening ear.

I have a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Homeland Security and a concentration in crime scene investigation from Virginia Commonwealth University. I then transitioned into earning my Master’s degree in Social Work from George Mason University in 2017. I am currently a supervisee in Social Work who is actively pursuing clinical licensure. While I am at Kindred Tree, I am obtaining additional training and supervision in integrative therapies like brainspotting, EMDR, play therapy, and holistic therapy approaches.

When I am not working, I love spending time with my daughter, husband, and Daisy (our fluffy husky). I enjoy all things fall and pumpkin spice! You can often catch me reading a good book with a warm and cozy blanket and yummy tea or listening to true crime related podcasts.
